A California daycare worker has been accused of spiking toddler sippy cups with the sleep medication known as Sominex, KION reports.

Investigators say none of the children actually drank from the cups.

The sippy cups were confiscated when other workers got suspicious, according to the report. However, police said the center dumped the water down the drain, when it could have been used as evidence to determine if the water was actually contaminated and the specific substance.

The 59-year-old woman has been fired and charged with felony child endangerment.
