OFS Brands expanding in High Point, will create 188 jobs

HIGH POINT, N.C. -- State officials on Tuesday announced OFS Brands will expand in High Point, creating 188 jobs.

On behalf of Gov. Pat McCrory, Deputy Sec. Dale Carroll and other officials made the announcement shortly after 1 p.m. at the High Point Municipal Building on S. Hamilton Street.

The $9.25 million investment will be implemented over the next five years at the company's at facility at 1264 Jackson Lake Road.

Salaries will vary by job function, but the average annual salaries for the new jobs will be $42,119, plus benefits.

The company also has another building in southern High Point along with two buildings in Archdale.  Officials said the expansion will allow OFS Brands "to consolidate its four different operations under one roof."

In a 5-0 vote last year, the city approved incentives for the Indiana-based furniture company.

OFS Brands, which manufactures case goods, seating and tables, is the parent company of OFS, First Office, Carolina, Loewenstein and Styline Logistics.

The expansion will nearly double the company's local workforce, bringing the total to 388 jobs.
