‘MASH’ doctors perform miracles of modern medicine

FOX8’s Bob Buckley takes a look at two “MASH” doctors in this edition of the Buckley Report.

Brian Layton and Matt Tsuei perform the miracles of modern medicine on a daily basis at Moses Cone and Wesley Long Hospitals in Greensboro.

It is a far cry from what characters on TV once called, “Meatball surgery.” That's a famous line from the TV show MASH, about an army surgical field hospital during the Korean War.

Last week was the thirtieth anniversary of the show's final episode. And as antiquated as what happened on the show may seem, today the doctors say in a lot of ways it is similar.
