GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — Several dogs were rescued from a burning home in Pleasant Garden on Friday.

Firefighters from Pleasant Garden, Pinecroft Sedgefield and Southeast Volunteer Fire Department were called to 6381 Walter Wright Road after a reported house fire.

Officials said one person and several dogs were inside the home when the fire started. Several dogs had to be rescued by firefighters.

Firefighters were able to quickly contain the fire, limiting it mostly to the attic, sparing damage to most of the homeowner’s personal property.

The cause of the fire is unknown.

No other details were immediately available.
