DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C.-- Melissa Crotts was driving down Tryo Rd. in Davidson County today, when she passed an oncoming tractor mowing for the DOT.

Suddenly a large stick, several feet long, flew from the mower smashing into the windshield of her 2007 Cadillac Escalade.

"It was the loudest noise, and it had to have been the hardest impact that I've ever seen for it to do that much damage to my windshield. Glass just went everywhere. It went all in my mouth, I couldn't talk. I felt like I couldn't breath," Crotts said.

She was not hurt and managed to pull off the road after the incident.
