Record number of Guilford property owners appeal tax values

GREENSBORO —A record number of Guilford County property owners are appealing their 2012 tax revaluations at state level, the News and Record reports.

507 properties are being appealed totaling more than $1 billion.

Many of them are rental or commercial sites including NewBridge Bank Park, Elm Street Center and Allure Nightlife, according to the report.

Property owners are appealing to the N.C. Property Tax Commission after being rejected by the Guilford County Board of Equalization and Review.
