Police investigate string of break-ins in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police said they are investigating robberies at three different businesses Saturday morning in Greensboro in which cigarettes were stolen.

Officials said the incidences were reported at the Walgreens at 3529 North Elm St. around 1:45 a.m., the Food Lion at 2316 E. Market St. around 3 a.m. and the Food Lion at 1023 Alamance Church Road around 4:43 a.m.

Police said glass at the front of the store was found broken during all three incidences.

It remains uncertain if the three are connected. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with any details can call Crime Stoppers at (336) 379-9316.
