Deputies: 1 dead after Guilford County shooting

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. – Guilford County officials said they are investigation to determine if a shooting that left one man dead early Saturday morning was in self-defense.

Authorities said the incident occurred shortly before 3:30 a.m. at a home in the 4000 block of Ardsley Court in Greensboro.

Deputies said they found 28-year-old High Point resident Matthew Obrian Norris with multiple gunshot wounds.

Officials said Norris was taken to Cone Hospital where he later died from his injuries. 

Deputies said the 28-year-old shooter lived at the home where the incident took place. No charges have been filed.

The investigation is ongoing and no other details were immediately available.
