TRIAD, N.C. --- The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Piedmont for the possibility of black ice Friday night into early Saturday morning.

The advisory is in effect from midnight though 9 a.m. on Saturday in Forsyth, Guilford, Alamance, Davidson and Randolph Counties.

Melting snow and wet roads from last night's storm, and lows hovering in the 20s are expected to freeze causing patches of black ice.
