According to a report from The Daily Mail, surgeons reportedly left 16 items in a man’s body.

According to the report, surgeons left the items behind during a routine surgery for prostate cancer back in 2009.

The man’s family, who all live in Germany, are now seeking thousands of dollars in compensation from hospital authorities.

According to the report, the man survived the operation but later died when his cancer spread.

Some of the items left behind included a needle and a six-inch roll of bandages.

According to the report, the hospital said the items entered the body “post-operative.”
