JELD-WEN announces expansion in North Wilkesboro

NORTH WILKESBORO, N.C. – Officials with JELD-WEN, inc. announced Wednesday that the company will open a composite doorskin manufacturing operation in North Wilkesboro that will create around 49 new jobs in the area.

Officials said the expansion will generate a capital investment of $4.8 million in production equipment and facility improvements at the facility’s building at 205 Lane’s Drive in North Wilkesboro.

The company said it plans to establish a North American headquarters in Charlotte during the first quarter of 2013.

Company officials said that people can apply in person at the North Wilkesboro facility.

JELD-WEN is a manufacturer of windows and doors and has 20,000 employees across more than 100 locations in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia.
