PORTLAND, Ore. — Police in Oregon say a man was arrested after being accused of choking his girlfriend with his dreadlocks.

The Associated Press reported that 32-year-old Caleb Grotberg was arrested after the unidentified woman was taken to a hospital with numerous non-life-threatening injuries Monday.

Grotberg was reportedly arrested for investigation of several domestic violence felony crimes, including strangulation, fourth-degree assault and second-degree kidnapping. He has court planned for Tuesday.

Dreadlocks are matted coils of hair.
