Stokes County Emergency Medical Services gets new director

STOKES COUNTY, N.C. — The Stokes County Board of Commissioners recently appointed Greg Collins the new Stokes County Emergency Medical Services director and emergency management coordinator.

The Stokes News reported that Collins took over as director on Jan. 1 after former director Monty Stevens retired.

“I’m privileged to have this position,” Collins said, according to The Stokes News. “We’ll continue to provide excellent patient care.”

The paper reported that Collins has worked for Stokes County EMS since the 1980s. He said that big changes are in the works.
