WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A lot of people went to the Lawrence Joel Coliseum in Winston-Salem for the C&E Gun Show Saturday afternoon, but not everyone was there to purchase a gun.

A group of protesters held a “silent protest” outside the facility. They said they wanted to raise awareness of the importance of seeking gun regulations.

The gun debate has taken center stage across the country since the school shooting in Newtown, Conn. last month in which 20 children and six adults were killed.

Supporters of the gun show said they believe there is nothing wrong with the weapons.

A similar protest was held a couple weeks ago at a different gun show at the same location.
