Driver charged in wreck that killed 9-year-old boy from NC
ROCKINGHAM, N.C. — A man has been charged in a December crash that killed a 9-year-old boy in Rockingham.
According to Richmond County Daily Journal, 44-year-old Christopher Goodwin is charged with felony involuntary manslaughter in the Dec. 8 wreck that killed Jody Williams.
Police say Williams was in a car driven by his grandmother on Highway 74 when they were hit by Goodwin, who was driving 15 mph over the posted 45 mph speed limit.
The boy’s grandmother was hospitalized with serious injuries.
