Police: Man set fire in bathroom at Hardee’s in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police say a man was arrested Monday night after he started a fire in a bathroom at a Greensboro fast food restaurant. 

According to police, officers responded shortly before 9 p.m. to a report of a suspicious person at the Hardee’s at 2921 Randleman Road. 

When they arrived, police said they were told by employees that the suspect was “behaving in a strange manner.” 

Officers then discovered that a fire had been set in the bathroom, police said. 

Police say the suspect was arrested without further incident. 

The suspect’s identity was not provided. 

It was not clear if charges are expected to be filed. 

Police said the fire did not cause any structural damage to the building. 

The investigation is ongoing.
