Police investigating shooting in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police are investigating a shooting that took place Wednesday night in Greensboro. 

According to police, officers responded shortly after 7:15 p.m. to a report of a shooting in the 1200 block of Barton Street. 

Police say the victim told them he was walking on Hewitt Street near the intersection of Barton Street when he heard a gunshot and realized that he had been shot. 

EMS took the victim to Moses Cone Hospital to be treated for the gunshot wound, which was not life-threatening, police said. 

No other information was provided.
