GREENSBORO, N.C. — More than 300 athletes came together for the 2012 Special Olympics Central Bowling Tournament Sunday in Greensboro.

Organizers said it was great to see the participants come together from all around central North Carolina and compete.

A total of more than 1,000 athletes from across the state were competing in three different competitions Sunday.
