Attempted robbery suspect flees across Highway 29 on foot

Greensboro, N.C. — Police responded to an attempted robbery at Walmart at 2107 Pyramids Village Blvd earlier this afternoon.

Carlton Ray Newell, 42, attempted to steal several items from the store when he was confronted by Walmart security, according to Greensboro Police.

After attempting to assault security, he fled on foot across Highway 29.

Police are still searching for Newell.
