Greensboro Aquatic Center to host 2013 synchronized swimming championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. — USA Synchro announced Thursday the Greensboro Aquatic Center has been named the host site for the 2013 U.S. National Synchronized Swimming Championships.

The events, sponsored by, will take place April 9-13, 2013, and are expected to include more than 200 swimmers from 30 teams

“We’re really looking forward to returning to Greensboro,” said Terry Harper, executive director of USA Synchro.

“The city and the facility engaged the entire community for our Olympic Trials last year. They do an outstanding job.”

The GAC hosted the U.S. Synchronized Swimming 2012 Olympic Team Trials last November and in August of 2011, the U.S. Synchronized Swimming National Team participated in the Greensboro Aquatic Center’s ribbon cutting ceremonies.
