One in custody after accident in High Point

HIGH POINT, N.C. — At least one person is in custody Friday afternoon after an accident in High Point.

Officers responded around 1:15 p.m. to reports of an accident at Woodruff Avenue and Waverly Street.

Witnesses told FOX8 they heard four gunshots around the same time as hearing the crash.

Police could not confirm shots were fired at the scene, however officers were seen handcuffing a man near a wrecked car.
