Burlington man robbed of money, car at gunpoint

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Police are searching for one suspect who reportedly robbed a Burlington man of his car and money at gunpoint late Wednesday night. 

According to police, officers met with the victim shortly after 11:45 p.m. at the intersection of Bland Boulevard and Faye Court. 

The victim told police he was driving his Dodge Magnum when the suspect approached him at the intersection of Apple and Rauhut Street. 

The suspect pulled out a handgun and forced the victim to drive him to the intersection of Bland Boulevard and Faye Court.  After reaching the intersection, the suspect allegedly demanded money and then drove off with the victim’s car. 

Police said the suspect left the victim at the intersection without harming him. 

The suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 20 and 30 standing 5’9″ tall.  He had a short afro and dark complexion.  At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a white T-shirt and light-colored blue jeans. 

The stolen vehicle is described as a silver 2006 Dodge Magnum with 22″ chrome wheels and N.C. registration “AKT-4557.”  It was last seen on Bland Boulevard headed toward North Church Street.
