GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Greensboro police officer was injured Tuesday afternoon in a crash on U.S. 29.

According to police, the crash happened around 12:45 p.m. on U.S. 29 South near Mile Marker 4 / 16th Street.

Police said the officer’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.  The officer was taken to Moses Cone Hospital. 

A lane of U.S. 29 South was closed for about thirty minutes following the crash, DOT officials said.

No other details were immediately available.
