43 citations issued in Reidsville driver checkpoints

REIDSVILLE, N.C. — Officials said the Reidsville Police Department issued 43 citations against drivers during two impaired-driving checkpoints Friday night.

Police said the first checkpoint was set up at Freeway Drive at Walters Street and Gibbs Road and the second at Freeway Drive at Moss Street. The operations were conducted between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m.

No Operators License- 9

Driving While License Revoked- 5

Open Container- 2

Driving after consuming – 1

Inspection Violation- 3

Registration Violation- 6

Fail to Carry License-5

Fail to Carry Registration card – 1

Fail to register vehicle – 1

Revoked Tag – 1

No Insurance – 2

Seatbelt – 1

Possession of Drugs- 5

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia-1
