50-year-old man injured after being hit by train in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Officials said a man received minor injuries after being hit by a train Friday afternoon in Greensboro.

According to police, at approximately 1 p.m.,  Terry Raymond Thore, 50, was struck by a northbound Norfolk Southern Railway freight train as he attempted walk across the railroad tracks near North Church Street and South Park Drive.

Thore was transported by EMS to Moses Cone Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

No other injuries were reported by police.
