Walgreens in Winston-Salem robbed at gunpoint

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police are looking for a man accused of robbing a Walgreens at gunpoint Sunday morning in Winston-Salem.

Police said the suspect entered the business at 2125 Cloverdale Ave. around 4 a.m. and demanded money.

The suspect allegedly ordered both employees behind the counter and had them put money from the register into his bag.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 20 years old, standing 6’2″ to 6’4″ and wearing a dark hooded jacket, a mask, jeans and black and white shoes. Police said he was armed with a silver semi-automatic pistol.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information can call Crimestoppers at 727-2800.
