WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Officials said a woman is dead after an early morning house fire Saturday in Winston-Salem.

Authorities said firefighters arrived at the house on 5454 Shattalon Dr. at 2:15 a.m. where Kimerly Harkey was found unconscious inside the house.

Authorities said attempts to revive Harkey were unsuccessful. Investigators said Harkey’s boyfriend was in another room.
