Mount Airy man charged with possessing, selling drugs

SURRY COUNTY, N.C. — Following an undercover investigation, deputies arrested a Mount Airy man accused of possessing and selling drugs out of his home.

On Thursday, deputies executed a search warrant at a home at 717 Parker Road in Mount Airy.

According to authorities, deputies approached the home and saw the resident, Anthony Lavon Depree White,  also known as “ Ant,” threw a baggie containing nearly one half ounce of crack cocaine from a window.

After entering the home, investigators seized a sawed-off shotgun and a 9mm handgun.

White has been charged with two counts of sale and delivery of cocaine, three counts of possession with intent to sale and delivery of cocaine, two counts of maintaining a drug dwelling and possession of drug paraphernalia.  

He is being held under a $100,000 secured bond.

Deputies said other charges are pending against White and additional persons identified during the investigation.
