Police: Man shot and killed in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police said a man was pronounced dead after being hospitalized from a gunshot wound Sunday morning in Greensboro.

Authorities said they found Jamal Muata Perry, 32, injured after responding to a call around 3:50 a.m. at 903 Martin St. Police said he was taken to Moses Cone Hospital and later died.

Police said Landis Lamar Jackson was charged with first degree murder in Perry’s death and is being held at the Guilford County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing and no other details were released.
