Asheboro woman accused of stabbing man

ASHEBORO, N.C. — Police said a woman was arrested after she allegedly stabbed a man, sending him to the hospital Saturday night in Asheboro.

The Asheboro Courier-Tribune reported that Asheboro resident Sheila Ann Anderson injured the victim inside a city apartment at 310 E. Salisbury St. around 5:15 p.m.

The paper reported that the victim was taken to Randolph Hospital, but a current condition was not provided.

Anderson was charged with felonious assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury and placed in the Randolph County Jail under a $250,000 secured bond.

Police did not give a motive for the alleged stabbing or provide further details on the investigation.
