WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) — A North Carolina-based organization that works to find missing people is touring the West Coast to bring awareness to certain cases.

Volunteers from the Wilmington-based CUE Center for Missing Persons are starting a weeklong trip in Los Angeles on Thursday.

Organizers say their team is making a dozen stops in California, Oregon and Washington state to attend a series of rallies hosted by local officials, families and friends of missing people. Volunteers are going to be handing out press kits, T-shirts and information about several dozen unsolved missing persons cases that have gone cold.

The tour wraps up Sept. 26.
