Yadkinville man, 1 other killed in Lincoln County wreck

LINCOLNTON, N.C. — A Yadkinville man and Vale man were killed in a wreck Wednesday afternoon in Lincoln County.

Troopers with the North Carolina Highway Patrol said the wreck happened shortly before 1 p.m. on N.C. 10.

Officials say the victims were 33-year-old Eric Timothy Hicks of Yadkinville and 42-year-old Larry Cook of Vale.

Troopers say Hicks pickup truck ran off the road and overturned. Troopers estimate the truck was going between 60 and 65 mph in a 45 mph zone.
