Suspect arrested in Reidsville shooting

REIDSVILLE, N.C. — A suspect wanted for shooting an 18-year-old in Reidsville last week has been arrested. 

Lt. D.H. Muhammad with the Reidsville Police Department said 30-year-old Samuel Lamond Brooks was arrested around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.  The shooting reportedly occurred at 15 Circle Drive on Sept. 6. 

The suspect is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, possession of a firearm by a felon, and felony and misdemeanor probation violation. 

Brooks is in jail under a $20,000 secured bond.  He has a court appearance slated for Sept. 19.
