Police: Suspect in Thomasville stabbing found in custody in Virginia
THOMASVILLE, N.C. — Police said a man wanted for allegedly stabbing and injuring another man with three other suspects April 18 at a Thomasville home was found in the custody of the Virginia Beach Sheriff’s Office under an assumed name.
Police in Thomasville said Anthony Lynn Collins, 35, is pending extradition back to North Carolina. Authorities said he is one of four people charged in the crime and the final one to be apprehended.
Police said the victim was found with a stab wound to the abdomen around 11:30 p.m. at 926 E. Main St. and was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.
Toni Marie Gore and Lannie Dustin Flippin were arrested for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury.
Both were placed in the Davidson County Jail. Gore received a $50,000 secured bond and has court May 8 and Flippin received a $100,000 secured bond and has court May 10.
Daniel Lee Flannery was arrested in Virginia by Giles County Sheriff’s Office and served with a Fugitive Warrant. He is awaiting extradition.
