GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police have arrested a man who is suspected to have been involved in multiple robberies over the past weekend and Monday.

Police have arrested Kossi Elikplimi Lougou, 25, of Rehobeth Church Road in connection with seven robberies that occurred Saturday and late Monday night.

According police, Lougou was taken in for questioning on Tuesday after a patrol officer spotted a van described by one of the robbery victims.

On Wednesday, after interviewing victims, police were provided with enough evidence to link Lougou to all of the robberies, said police.

Lougou is charged with possession of stolen goods, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon, six counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, and six counts of assault by pointing a gun. Additional charges are pending.

Police believe Lougou worked with an accomplice and an investigation is ongoing.
