HPU ranks No. 1 twice in magazine’s list of ‘America’s Best Colleges’
HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point University ranked No. 1 in two categories in U.S. News & World Report’s most recent list of “America’s Best Colleges.”
The university ranked first in both the “Best Regional Colleges in the South” and “Up and Coming Schools in Regional Colleges in the South” categories. Respectively, the university held the No. 3 and No. 2 spots in the same categories in the magazine’s rankings from last year.
“We are complimented to be recognized at this level of excellence,” Dr. Nido Qubein, the university’s president, said in a prepared statement. “These rankings reflect the hard work of our stellar faculty and dedicated staff.”
The magazine’s America’s Best Colleges list is now in its 11th year of publication. It is based on data gathered from each institution through annual surveys or the institution’s website, as well as on opinion surveys of faculties and administrators who do not belong to the institution.
