Greensboro man wounded in drive-by shooting

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A 20-year-old Greensboro man was wounded in a drive-by shooting Tuesday night. 

The victim, 20-year-old Antwan Thompson, told police he was sitting on a bench in the 4200 block of Bernau Avenue around 9:45 p.m. when an unknown vehicle approached. 

Thompson said an occupant of the vehicle fired a gun as it drove by, striking him in the leg. 

Thompson was taken to Moses Cone Hospital for treatment of the non-life threatening injury. 

No vehicle or suspect descriptions were provided.
