1-year-old found dead in neighbor’s fountain in Rowan Co.

ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — Officials said a missing 1-year-old was found dead in a neighbor’s fountain Tuesday afternoon in eastern Rowan County.

The Salisbury Post reported the toddler’s body was found at 155 Rockwood Drive, a few houses from his home, after someone called 911 around 1:40 p.m.

The child’s identity has not been released. The toddler was reported missing for “an undetermined amount of time.”

Emergency workers reportedly tried reviving the boy with CPR but were unsuccessful. The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the case.
