KING, N.C. — The 62nd Stokes County Agricultural Fair is underway after beginning Monday at the American Legion in King.

"It's a smaller community.  You bump into people that you know here,” said Stacey Combs.  “It's just a little bit more fun because it’s not as hectic and crowded."

The fair features rides, livestock shows, exhibits, musical entertainment and a bake sale.

General admission is $12 for unlimited rides and $6 without rides.  Seniors 65 and over and kids under 3-feet tall get in free.

Gates open at 4 p.m. through Friday and 2 p.m. on Saturday.
