GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A Greensboro call center that laid off nearly 700 workers in March now plans to refill the positions in the same location after the corporation reorganized and secured new contracts.

According to a press release, NCO Customer Management, Inc.'s plan to rehire for its call center at 4336 Federal Drive, which had its workforce reduced to about 40 employees after the layoffs, is a result of "client business expansions and new wins."

"The immediate openings for new employees in Greensboro include all aspects of the customer support lifecycle, with most positions for inbound customer service and technical support specialists," officials with APAC Customer Services, Inc. and NCO Group -- the organization's recently-merged parent companies -- said in the release.

An open house for those interested in filling the positions will be held at the facility from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Thursday.  Job candidates can also find information at

Training for the positions will begin in October, officials said.
