WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Several people auditioned for a new movie Saturday that is planned to be filmed around Winston-Salem this fall.

The open casting call was for a movie called “Goodbye To All That” and is written by Winston-Salem resident Angus MacLachlan, who also wrote “June,” starring Amy Adams.

“It’s really a great thing for our economy,” said Casting Director Mitzy Corrigan. “There’s a lot of talent here and there’s a lot of really good production people here in North Carolina.”

MacLachlan told The Winston-Salem Journal the movie is a “comedy about serious things.”

“It’s about a man who has an 8-year-old daughter and is navigating his life after his marriage ends,” he said.
