Burlington man charged with statutory rape

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Police on Tuesday arrested a Burlington man suspected of statutory rape.

According to police, 27-year-old Cesar Reyes-Eugenio was arrested on two counts of statutory rape of a 15-year old and one count of statutory sexual offense after officers responded to the 100 block of Williamson Street on Tuesday.

Police said the offenses took place between Aug. 5 and 15.

Reyes-Eugenio is being held in the Alamance County Jail under a $75,000 secured bond.
