YADKIN COUNTY, N.C. — Deputies have arrested a Hamptonville man suspected of attempted first degree murder on Thursday.

According to deputies, Patrick Brandon Oliver, Jr., 18, was arrested in connection with an assault that took place at his home on Old Highway 421 West in Hamptonville on Aug. 13.

Deputies reported that the victims, Lindsey Stone of Yadkinville and Ashlee Nicole Burns of Elkin sustained injuries from gun shots during the confrontation.

Oliver was arrested on Aug. 14 and charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, discharging a barreled weapon into an occupied motor conveyance and multiple drug charges.

Oliver is being held in the Yadkin County Detention Center under a 1,000,000 secured bond.
