Lumberton man charged in stabbing death of brother

LUMBERTON, N.C. — A Lumberton man has been arrested in the stabbing death of his brother.

The Robesonian of Lumberton reports 54-year-old Ira Frederick Locklear is charged with first-degree murder.

Deputies with the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office said 53-year-old Vick Locklear was stabbed Monday morning.

Capt. Anthony Thompson said the brothers lived next door to each other. Thompson said  investigators have not determined a motive.

It was not clear if Locklear has an attorney.
