DANVILLE, Va. — While speaking at a campaign rally Tuesday morning in Danville, Va., Vice President Joe Biden tells Virginians: “we can win North Carolina again.”

Biden spoke at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research, an area with an 11.1 percent unemployment rate, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

According to President Barack Obama’s campaign, Biden was to speak on the difference between Obama’s and Romney’s vision on how to grow the economy and create middle-class jobs.

Biden is also expected to make stops in Wytheville and Blacksburg.

In 2008, Obama became the first Democratic nominee to win Virginia’s vote in 44 years.
