GREENVILLE, N.C. — An abandoned dog found in a Greenville warehouse several months ago has a new job.

Sniffing out explosives at the airport in Nairobi, Kenya.

The Daily Reflector of Greenville reported Mike Bullock found a young pit bull tied up in a warehouse in Greenville in March. Bullock took the dog home and named him Benny and began to nurse him back to health.

When Benny showed hunting and fetching skills, Bullock decided to train him on identifying explosives. Benny can recognize 13 different explosives now.

The canine director of Kenyan Airways visited Bullock and the man bonded with the dog. He’s taking him home to search suitcases and packages at the airport.
