RAEFORD, N.C. — A Hoke County man is charged with killing his ex-girlfriend and a man at her home.

Shawn McKoy, 33, of Raeford, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Lorene Torrens and Travis Blue, said Sheriff Hubert Peterkin.

Deputies responding to a 911 call early Saturday found Torrens on the floor of her bedroom. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Blue was found in the hallway. He was pronounced dead at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Both had been shot several times with a 9mm handgun.

McKoy was arrested at the home. Whether he has a lawyer is unknown.

He is being held without bail in the Hoke County Detention Center.
