DAVIDSON CO., N.C. — A group of Davidson County residents have formed a new club in honor of Jeeps.

The Lexington Dispatch reported that the N.C. HardCore Jeepers club meets at 7 p.m. the last Friday of each month at the Sheetz convenience store at the intersection of N.C. Highway 150 and Hickory Tree Road in Arcadia.

“It’s all family atmosphere,” Todd Benson, a member, told The Dispatch. “There is no drinking or drugs. We don’t allow any type of cursing or acting out.”

The paper reported that spouses and children are welcomed at the monthly meetings and members ride at Uwharrie National Forest.

“We try to get as family oriented as we can because a lot of these teenage kids nowadays don’t have a lot to do other than get in trouble,” Benson said, according to The Dispatch. “We try to give them something to do at least on Friday nights.”
