Frontier Airlines announces new nonstop flight from PTI to Orlando

Frontier Airlines today announced new nonstop service between Orlando, Fla. (MCO) and PTI with three weekly nonstop flights beginning on Nov. 17.

The low-cost carrier will provide three weekly nonstop flights. The new service will operate on 138-seat Airbus 319 aircraft, featuring 30 channels of DIRECTV service available at every seat.

In celebration of the new service at PTI, Frontier will offer fares as low as $59 (one way) on flights booked through Saturday.

This will be the only nonstop service from PTI to Orlando International Airport. Allegiant currently offers flights from PTI to Orlando Sanford Airport.

“With the addition of Frontier’s nonstop service to Orlando, customers in the Triad region can now enjoy a low fare option into Orlando’s most convenient airport, where you’re closer to all the key attractions,” said Daniel Shurz, Frontier’s senior vice president, commercial.

“We are very pleased that Frontier Airlines has chosen to provide service between Orlando International Airport and the Piedmont Triad International Airport,” said Kevin Baker, Piedmont Triad Airport Authority executive director.

Frontier will fly out of PTI on Mondays, Saturdays and Wednesdays.

Flights from Orlando will depart at 8:30 a.m. arrive in Greensboro at 10:05 a.m. on Mondays and Saturdays. On Wednesdays, the flights will depart at 8 a.m. and will arrive at Orlando at 9:35 a.m.

Flights from Greensboro to Orlando will leave PTI at 10:45 a.m. and arrive in Orlando at 12:15 p.m. on Mondays and Saturdays. On Wednesdays, flights will leave Greensboro at 10:15 a.m. and arrive in Orlando at 11:45 a.m.
