Avgol expansion creates 40 manufacturing jobs in Mocksville

MOCKSVILLE, N.C. — A manufacturing plant’s opening of a new production line has made room for 40 new jobs in Davie County.

Avgol Nonwovens celebrated the completion of their fourth production line, the result of a $35 million investment by the company, at its Mocksville plant on Monday.

The expansion brings the total workforce at the plant to 180 employees.

Mark Schambach with Davie County Digital Resources said most of the new positions have already been filled, though one or two may still be available.
